First, I'd just like to say that the scriptures in Spanish are totally hilarious. Maybe it's just me, but as far as I'm concerned everything is just so much sassier when you read the Book of Mormon in Spanish! It makes for really fun companionship study, which basically turns into "The Gospel According to Hermana Johnson" ;) like in recent reading, Amulek is teaching the people, they don't want to listen and are yelling at him and Amulek "les gritó con mayor fuerza" meaning he basically yelled at them louder than they were yelling at him 😂 which is definitely not how it comes across in English. I'm so blessed to have learned Spanish <3
Other fun things: our mission is an iPad mission (another blessing for me!) and we're all required to have the same password on it. So, my companion and I have become fond of a little game where we sneak other missionaries' iPads when they're not paying attention and change the home screen background to weird pictures we find in Gospel Library or on LDS.org--because why not?? The reactions we've gotten are beautiful ;) and for some reason they still trust us around their iPads! They've retaliated and done it back to us a few times too. It's great.
