Buenas tardes a todos y feliz navidad! Ya se acerca eh? SÓLO 6 DÍAS MÁS!!! (But who's counting?) I hope y'all are enjoying the snow, the Christmas music, and the general feel of the Christmas spirit :) we sure are (minus the snow of course because we don't get that here, which is both a blessing and not at the same time)!

We had QUITE a week full of MIRACLES. It was so amazing. It was a little hard at first adjusting to just being 2 of us again, but we're getting back into the swing of things and working hard. One of the many blessings we've seen from the work we've been doing comes in fate form of one of our mission-wide goals: to have a white Christmas in which EVERY companionship in the mission has a baptism in December. When Hna Christensen got her concussion a couple months ago it slowed us down pretty good and I was really worried we wouldn't be able to work hard enough to find people who'd be ready to be baptized this month. It seemed pretty bleak and hopeless for us... But we did our best and tried our hardest anyways, even if there wasn't much we could do. and now, despite the many setbacks and disappointments we've seen, yesterday we saw a miracle! Roger (remember him?) passes his interview and will be getting baptized this weekend!!! :) we couldn't be happier, and neither could he. What a great blessing it's been to be a part of this!! And what an amazing, enormous testimony builder too! It really helped me remember that no matter how weak we are, if we do our very best, have faith, and rely on the Lord, anything is possible--even having a baptism in December when you're almost completely unable to work for 3 weeks.
And another wonderful thing this week was our ward Christmas party, combined with the English ward. It was so much fun :) there was lots of good food (tamales!!!!), good people, and a play of the Nativity brought to you by the Rama Los Altos! And they asked us to participate in it too :) it was so much fun! Hna Zohner was a shepherd and a fish (their Christmas songs are QUITE different than ours but I love them all nonetheless) and I got to be the angel 😇 (mostly because I was the only girl tall enough to wear the dress.) It was so much fun and it made everybody happy. A lot of people though it was both hilarious and adorable that I still had my tag on as the angel... Pffft. Like I wasn't gonna wear it ;)
Anyways, we're just so excited to be able to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially in this wonderful time of year when our thoughts turn to Him even more, and keep finding little ways to light the world with His light and love <3
I wish you all a most spectacularly happy Christmas
