Los Bajos y Los Altos

Dear friends and family, I've lovingly titled my email "the highs and the lows" (more or less) mainly because....
I'VE BEEN TRANSFERRED!? And my new area se llama "Los Altos" ;) hah, clever, right? I thought so. But anyway here are los bajos y los altos de mi semana:

BAJOS:
Having to eat weird pig feet/knee thing... I dunno. It was like straight fat though. Bleh!!
Having to drop Victor, our seemingly golden investigator :(
Being told (more of less) that I'm like really fat and being asked if I'm pregnant?? C'mon guys.

But that's about it! There were A LOT more altos this week :)

Fidela and her girls
First off, I am SO happy :) like, SOOO happy. I LOVE where I'm at and I never want to leave or come home (which is unfortunate since I'm being transferred...) But really, we had an amazing week. Well, the last 3 weeks actually have just been so good as we've been trying to change and improve and be better. We're getting SOLID support form our branch members and we have some AMAZING investigators!! One of them is Fidela and I adore this woman. She's suuuper pregnant with her 4th daughter, is in a pretty crumby place in life right now, and has a lot of trials. Plus her boyfriend/husband just left her. And in spite of that she came to church with all her girls and stayed the whole 3 hours!!! That's seriously a miracle. She's just so sweet and she recognizes how important our message is for her and her family. She waves to us when she sees us outside of lessons and things, and her girls love us too! (Super sad side note though, after church I told them I'd be leaving and her 2nd daughter got all sad and held my hand and then gave me her cookie she got in primary.) Oh man. I absolutely guarantee she'll be baptized though, no doubt about it. And I'm so excited for her!! I haven't felt like this before with any of my other investigators, but I want to have this same excitement with all of them!! Other altos include having an AWESOME member come with us for lessons (that would be Ruby. Basically she's the best member missionary ever. She's one of the young women I "adopted")

Anyway, like I said before, today I got transferred. I'm off to Los Altos. I'm feeling like I'mma hit some highs here ;) hah get it? Cuz Los Altos.... Anyway, perks of my area include WALMART (hot dog! I nearly had a heart attack when I found out), Krispy Kreme donuts, Chick-Fil-A, biking (which I'm terrified of actually), and I'll get to be around the Korean, Chinese, Samoan, and English elders, so I'm gonna learn a lot! I've only interacted with Spanish missionaries so far.

My new companion, Hna Christensen, is super cool and really cute! She's from Arizona and has been out 3 months longer than I have. I'm really excited to work with her. It'll be a lot of fun :)

My adopted kids who broke my heart saying goodbye
So I'm excited :) saying goodbye to everyone yesterday was really hard (I cried more than once and it broke my heart) but I feel good leaving. I don't have regrets and I know the Lord is please with the work we've done in El Molino ❤️ We helped a lot of people and I love that. It's always neat to be ablate look back at the end of something and see what ripples you've cause and how far they've gone. I think a lot of the time we don't realize just how far they'll make it, and we also don't usually get an opportunity to see the end of our ripples. So getting a glimpse as to how far my ripples have spread was really neat for me :) and then seeing how many of these people have changed me and helped me learn and grow... It's beautiful :)

Love you all
